Founded in October 2015 with the mission to create exceptional, inspirational animations that captivate, entertain, and educate, Daily Madness has ambition by the truckload. We push boundaries on a daily basis, promoting female characters on screen and providing opportunities for women behind the screen. Daily Madness is a passionate group of creatives with irrepressible spirit, a talent for storytelling, and a progressive attitude. We write, produce, and direct in-house – taking the space to experiment with ideas and test theories, so that we uncover the absolute best we are capable of. We inhabit the worlds we create and get to know our characters as well as we know ourselves. We laugh, we cry, and we go through all their ups and downs with them right here.

Being an Irish animation studio, Daily Madness can access the world-famous Section 481 tax credits, which means we can access up to 32% of costs for all work sourced in Ireland.

Lindsey Adams

+ More About Lindsey
Lindsey has known since she was a little girl that she wanted to work in animation and she has pretty much been on a mission ever since. After earning an Honours Degree in Computer Animation from the University of Teesside, Lindsey moved to Edinburgh to get started in her dream career. She started out as Assistant to the Executive Producer at DC Thompson before moving to Red Kite Animation as a Production Coordinator. Lindsey soon became Production Manager on the BAFTA-nominated Dennis the Menace and Gnasher (CBBC, Nine Networks Australia) and the International Emmy-nominated Ask Lara (BBC, TVC, VRPO). Lindsey relocated to Dublin, Ireland in 2013 to assume the role of Production Manager on Boj (Cbeebies, PBS, RTEjr, S4C) and then Wildernuts Series 2 (RTEjr, TinyPop) for Kavaleer Productions. In 2015 Lindsey founded Daily Madness Productions and since setting up the business she has taken on a Producer role for multiple companies and their animated shows including Kiva Can Do! (Kavaleer Productions for RTEjr, Nickjr), Space Chickens In Space (Gingerbread Animation for Disney EMEA, Nine Networks Australia), Critters TV (Turnip & Duck for RTEjr), Ollie (Ink and Light films for RTEjr, KetNet). She also served as Consulting Producer on Netflix Original CG series Buddi (Unanico) as well as producing several projects for Axis Animation in Glasgow, Scotland. Lindsey is currently the director and producer of a new series called Pins and Nettie that she created alongside Shannon George.

Watching crazy amounts of TV, being one of the few people who still plays Pokémon Go, and being an extreme spreadsheet ninja.

Taking the bold decision to found Daily Madness in 2015, and everything that has happened since.
Shannon George
Creative Director
+ More About Shannon
Luckily for Shannon, a career in animation sought her out even though she didn’t plan for it. After arriving bright-eyed and brimming with enthusiasm in Los Angeles, the first industry job she landed was with Gracie Films where, among other things, Shannon worked on a little up-and-coming animated series called The Simpsons. She then worked for Nickelodeon Studios Florida on several live action productions before joining their New York animation studio as Associate Producer and then Producer on the hit preschool series, Blue’s Clues. Shannon moved to Dublin in 2012, starting out at Kavaleer Productions as Series Producer and then Head Writer/Story Editor (Wildernuts Series 2, Kiva Can Do!). Her Show Runner credits include Buddy: Tech Detective for Amazon Studios as well as Kody Kapow and Powerbirds for Universal Kids. Since joining Daily Madness, in addition to overseeing the Daily Madness development slate, Shannon has worked as Story Editor on Ollie (RTEjr), writer on Love Monster (CBeebies), Co- Headwriter on Disney's Gigantosaurus (Series 2 and 3), and recently started as Creative Producer on an upcoming preschool series for Disney, eOne and Triggerfish. Shannon has also written all the episodes for Daily Madness’ new series called Pins and Nettie, that she co-created with Lindsey Adams.
+ What are you best known for?
Obsessing about all things Paris, singing musicals (mostly Hamilton!) at the top of my lungs, playing the violin… very, very badly.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
Receiving Emmy nominations for my work as Producer on Blue’s Clues and Consulting Producer on Amazon’s The Stinky & Dirty Show.
Adam Kavanagh

+ How did you get into animation?
I got into animation by accident. I didn't get my first choice of college courses and animation was my back up, I quickly realised that it was the best accident that could have happened as I loved animation. It was serendipity, I guess.
+ What are you best known for?
Cats, I love cats. Dogs are great too.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
When I left college I was told there are no art or design roles in animation in Ireland (this was bad advice) so I stuck to animating which I liked but I always knew it wasn't the part of animation I enjoyed the most. After a few years of working as an animator on some really fun projects and my first role as an animation director, I saw how many art and design roles there actually were and I decided to leave my animation direction role and start again as character designer which lead to my role as Art Director.
Kristina Yee

+ How did you get into animation?
When I was in high school I wanted to be a lawyer, but then I figured out that writing was basically a fun version of arguing so decided to do that instead.
+ What are you best known for?
Killin' it at karaoke.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
Writing a joke where a bird character does 'the worm’.
Gemma Martin

+ How did you get into animation?
I kinda just fell into animation, to be honest. I grew up, like most children, loving Disney, Looney Tunes, Batman the Animated Series (ahh that was the best!!), etc., but it wasn't until I had to choose a career path after my A Levels that involved either History or Art, I thought: Hmm an Art foundation course sounds way more fun. Let's go with that! :)
+What are you best known for?
Being an absolute lover of all things Agatha Christie, in particular, that adorable little Belgian, Mr Hercule Poirot. I do also love to do a little sculpting occasionally, though since I had twins, that's one hobby that has temporarily been put on hold, haha.
+What is your proudest work moment?
This is a hard one to answer. I've been really lucky to have worked on dozens of great shows and with loads of very talented and lovely people, so I guess, the most proudest memory I have was the first time I saw my name on TV with my family. I can remember thinking I was just an ordinary shy girl from the Welsh Valleys and now my name is on the telly all over the world! Madness ^-^
Nicola Skuse

+ How did you get into animation?
I just kind of fell into it. Throughout school, my Art teacher was always pushing me to apply to art college and uni. I'm glad I followed this path though as I couldn't think of a more rewarding career. I also wouldn't have met my husband if I'd followed a different path.
+ What are you best known for?
My love of all things Harry Potter! Challenge my knowledge... I dare you! :) Or for always having my head in a book. Something I am determined to pass onto my son.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
The first time my son watched one of my shows and laughed and screamed at the TV! That felt pretty great. But I've worked on so many wonderful projects and the amazing and crazy people who come with each new project I couldn't really pick one. xx
Gemma McGivern

+ How did you get into animation?
I had an amazing art teacher in school who, right from the start, suggested I could be an animator. I took that and ran with it and I've never looked back since.
+ What are you best known for?
Exceptionally bad puns. (Or great, they could be great.)
+ What is your proudest work moment?
Every time I see a show I've worked on it reminds me of how amazing it is that a team of incredible people made that and that I got to be part of that team too. It reminds me that I do what I love and that I'm right where I wanted to be, I'm proud to be here!
Niamh Bennett

+ How did you get into animation?
Space travel was off the table and I liked to draw.
+ What are you best known for?
Collecting vintage Tomb Raider merchandising and having an encyclopaedic knowledge of LGBT representation in media.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
Finding a ratio of freeze-dried coffee to sugar that makes its drinkable and being fortunate enough to work with talented, passionate people.
Neev Brennan

+ How did you get into animation?
After spending the first 15 years of my life neglecting my studies in favour of drawing Rugrats and Digimon, I realised I might have missed my chance to be a rocket scientist and stuck with drawing instead.
+ What are you best known for?
Wearing very big coats regardless of the weather, and telling anyone who will listen all about my favourite boy bands.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
Getting to design Pins and Nettie from the very beginning!
Jaime Posadas

+ How did you get into animation?
I had been an illustrator since I finished Fine Arts and a movie journalist for over five years, therefore getting into animation was the next logical step in my career - mixing both my passions: movies and making silly sound effects while I paint.
+ What are you best known for?
I am best known for my obsession with dogs, shoes, and leather jackets, in no particular order and of course not at the same time. Although, now that I think of it...
+ What is your proudest work moment?
The moment I realized I was able not only to make my living from animation but also to enjoy every part of it as if it wasn't even a job. That last bit is to the credit of my Daily Madness workmates, though.
Claire McLoughlin

+ How did you get into animation?
I grew up watching Disney movies, like most kids. But I also became enamoured of the idea of bringing drawings and characters to life. No longer satisfied with just watching, this independent (read: stubborn) young lass set out to learn these skills for herself.
+ What are you best known for?
Rambling and maybe liking The Legend of Zelda just a little too much.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
Being lucky enough to be part of the Daily Madness family!
Hazel Flynn

+ How did you get into animation?
Section 481!! With the animation industry in Ireland growing each year, studios are increasingly in need of knowledgeable accountants who can help with the tax process. I now have years of experience with the system, and multiple animated TV shows under my belt that have benefited from the world-famous Section 481 Tax breaks.
+ What are you best known for?
I take 'detailed-orientated” to a whole new level! Also, I’m an avid gym-goer and not so secret biker chick.
+ What is your proudest work moment?
When I realised my daughters can balance a book like no one's business! They learned from the best I suppose :)

+ How did you get into composing?
As a kid, I started writing little tunes in my head, then I went on to the piano and just never stopped.
+ What are you best known for?
For entertainment at get-togethers and for having five rambunctious kids.

Any time anyone laughs or cries with the music, you know you did something right that day.
